Delete your Yardoer account
Effective date: October 26, 2026
This page explains how to delete your Yardoer account and what happens to your data. Yardoer is operated by HatchOps LLC d/b/a Yardoer.
Option 1: In the app
- Open Yardoer and go to Menu → Account → Delete account.
- The screen lists what will be deleted and what is kept.
- Type DELETE and tap Delete my account.
Deletion starts right away. If any step doesn't finish, the app shows which step failed and keeps your account open, so you can tap Delete my account again. You can also email us and we will finish it within 30 days.
Before you delete: finish or cancel any booked or active jobs, and wait for any open dispute to be resolved. Until then the app won't delete your account; it tells you why, and nothing is deleted. Please also cash out any money still in your balance.
Option 2: Without the app
Email [email protected] with the subject "Delete my account". Send it from the email address on your account, or include the phone number on your account. We will verify it's you, run the same deletion, and confirm when it is complete, within 30 days. The same rule applies: booked or active jobs and open disputes must be finished first.
What we delete right away
- Your name, email, phone number, date of birth, bio and city. Your profile is replaced with "Deleted user".
- Your sign-in, so the account can't be used again.
- Your saved address, and any job address not tied to a booked job.
- Photos you uploaded.
- The text of messages you sent, replaced with "[deleted]" right away.
- Your bids, jobs you posted that nobody booked, and unused referral credits.
- Notification settings and push tokens.
- Your identity-check status and reference. We never store ID images or selfies; Stripe holds them under its own policy (https://stripe.com/privacy).
- Crash reports, and device information and transcripts in your support requests.
- App usage events, your block list, and details of people you booked a job for.
- At Stripe: your saved cards are removed. If you never had a booking, your Stripe customer record is deleted. If you had bookings, Stripe keeps it for payment and tax records, marked deleted with your name, email and phone cleared. A Doer payout account is disabled, not deleted, because Stripe must keep payout records.
What we keep, and for how long
Some records are kept only where the law requires it or to finish a dispute, then deleted automatically:
| Record | How long |
|---|---|
| Bookings and payment records (job price, fees, payouts, the cancel-fee agreement, cancellations, refunds, ratings, referral credits used on the job, and the address of a booked job) | 7 years after the job, as tax law requires |
| Earnings totals for tax reporting | 7 years |
| Message records on booked jobs (the text you sent is already removed) | 1 year after the job |
| Referral records | 2 years |
| Support tickets you sent (device information and transcripts are removed when you delete your account) | Kept for support and safety history |
| Tax forms and tax information held by Stripe | Kept by Stripe under its own policy, not by Yardoer |
| Safety reports the law requires us to preserve | Only as long as the law requires |
| A deletion log (a scrambled ID and which steps succeeded, no personal data) | Kept as proof the deletion happened |
The rest of your account is purged within 30 days by our daily cleanup. If a kept payment record still points to your account, a de-identified placeholder with no name or contact details stays until that record is deleted.
