Yardoer Terms of Service
Effective date: October 26, 2026
1. Who we are
Yardoer is an app operated by HatchOps LLC, a Utah limited liability company doing business as Yardoer ("Yardoer", "we", "us"). Yardoer is a marketplace connecting people who need outdoor jobs done in Cache Valley, Utah ("Posters") with adults who do them ("Doers"). By using Yardoer you agree to these Terms, the Poster Terms or Doer Independent Contractor Agreement that apply to you, and the Community Guidelines.
Contact: [email protected] (privacy: [email protected])
2. Marketplace only
- Yardoer is a venue. We connect Posters and Doers. We are not the employer of any Doer, not a party to the job, and we do not perform, supervise, direct or control the work.
- Posters vet Doers. Before booking, the Poster reviews the Doer's profile, experience and reviews and decides whether the Doer is suited to the job. Yardoer does not screen, train, supervise, guarantee or insure Doers, their work, or the results of any job.
- No insurance. Yardoer does not provide insurance for Posters, Doers, property or jobs.
3. Eligibility
- You must be 18 or older to use Yardoer in any role. Minors under 18 cannot create Poster or Doer accounts. We close accounts we believe belong to someone under 18.
- Posters must own, rent or control the property where the job happens, or have permission from someone who does.
- All jobs are outdoor jobs. Doers do not enter homes.
4. Accounts and verification
Give accurate information, keep your login secure, and keep one account per person. All Doers must pass Stripe Identity verification before their first payout, and we may ask other users to verify for safety or fraud prevention. You may delete your account at any time in the app (Menu → Account → Delete account) or at yardoer.com/delete-account; see the Privacy Policy for what is deleted and kept.
5. How jobs work
Posters post jobs; Doers accept or bid; the Poster books a Doer with Confirm worker; the Doer submits before and after photos; the Poster taps Confirm job complete.
- Pricing. A Poster sets a price; Doers may accept it or bid. Before booking, the Poster sees the all-in total and the Doer sees their net payout. A contract for the job forms between the Poster and Doer when the Poster accepts a price or bid and taps Confirm worker. Bids may be withdrawn before acceptance.
- Job minimum. Every job must be at least $30.
- Location. Yardoer never collects precise or live GPS location. The Poster types in the job address; browsing Doers see only an approximate area, and the full address is shown only to the hired Doer.
- Custom jobs. Jobs outside our category list are reviewed before they are shown (usually 1–3 business days). Nothing is charged until approval.
6. Doers are independent contractors
Doers are independent contractors, not employees, partners or agents of HatchOps LLC or any Poster. Yardoer intends to operate as a marketplace platform under Utah Code Title 34, Chapter 53 (Service Marketplace Platforms). Doers decide whether and when to work, which jobs to take, and how to do the work; may work on other platforms or for themselves; provide their own tools and pay their own expenses and taxes; and agree to the Doer Independent Contractor Agreement. Yardoer charges every Doer a platform fee on every job (Section 7).
7. Fees
| Job type | Poster Platform fee | Doer platform fee |
|---|---|---|
| Regular job | 15% of the job price, added to the Poster's total | 5% of the job price, deducted from the payout |
| Recurring visit with the same Doer | 10% | 5% |
Example ($100 regular job): Poster pays $115.00; Doer receives $95.00 plus 100% of any tip. Example ($100 recurring visit): Poster pays $110.00; Doer receives $95.00.
Referral credits never reduce the Doer fee below $0.50. Payment is charged when the Poster confirms completion, or at the end of the review period if the Poster neither confirms nor disputes. Payouts are made through Stripe Connect.
8. Cancellation (summary; the Cancellation Fee Agreement shown at Confirm worker controls)
- To book a Doer, the Poster must accept the Cancellation Fee Agreement and is shown the possible amounts in dollars first.
- Request cancel (mutual): the Poster proposes a cancellation payout from 10% to 100% of the job price; the Doer accepts or declines. The app shows the total and any fee before you confirm.
- Force cancel: funds are held for a 1–2 business day review. Both sides may submit evidence, and we decide the share of work completed. The Poster pays that share plus the Platform fee and a force-cancel fee of 10% of that share, up to the cap shown in the Cancellation Fee Agreement. The force-cancel fee is waived if the Doer is at fault.
- After the after-photo: the job can't be cancelled. The Poster may confirm or dispute within a 1–2 business day review period; no payout is made until it ends. In a dispute, the Doer gets one chance to redo before we decide based on both sides' evidence.
9. Poster assumption of risk and indemnity
Please read carefully. Posters accept this section with its own checkbox before their first job post. - Safe work site. You will describe the job and every known hazard accurately (for example ice, slopes, dogs, heavy or fragile items, buried lines, sprinkler heads), keep pets secured, and keep the work area reasonably safe. - Your risk. You choose your Doer, and you accept the risks to your property and to the job's outcome, including damage and incomplete or imperfect work, except where caused by HatchOps LLC's own gross negligence or intentional misconduct. - Indemnity. To the fullest extent Utah law allows, you will defend, indemnify and hold harmless HatchOps LLC (d/b/a Yardoer) and its owners and staff from all claims, losses, damages and reasonable attorney fees that arise from: (a) your property or work site, including injuries to Doers on it; (b) false or missing hazard information; (c) your breach of these Terms or the Poster Terms; or (d) your own negligence or misconduct. THIS INDEMNITY APPLIES EVEN IF THE CLAIM IS ALSO CAUSED IN PART BY THE ORDINARY NEGLIGENCE OF HATCHOPS LLC. It does not cover claims caused by HatchOps LLC's gross negligence or intentional misconduct.
10. Jobs booked for someone else
Where available, a Poster may book an outdoor job at another person's home (a "Recipient"). The Poster remains the payer and the only party to these Terms for that job, and promises they have the Recipient's permission or legal authority and the right to authorize the work. The Recipient gets a text notice and may decline (no cancellation fee) or opt out. Doers do not enter the home, handle money or medication, or accept gifts. If you suspect abuse, neglect or exploitation of a vulnerable adult, call 911 in an emergency or contact Utah Adult Protective Services.
11. Referral Program
The Referral Program may launch after the app. These rules apply once it is turned on. - Share any job. Any Poster or Doer can share any job in the app. Your share link carries your referral code, or the person can enter your code at sign-up. - Who earns. Only the person who shared earns. You get one $5 account credit after the person you referred completes their first paid job of $110 or more. The person you referred gets no credit. - Using the credit. The full $5 is applied automatically to the next job of $110 or more that you post or do: as a Poster, off the Platform fee you pay; as a Doer, off your Doer fee (the Doer fee is never reduced below $0.50). Jobs under $110 don't use the credit; it waits for your next $110+ job. - No expiry. Credits don't expire while your account is open and the program runs. They end if your account is closed (see Changes below if the program ends). - Not cash. Credits have no cash value and can't be paid out, sold or transferred. They never reduce the job price or another user's pay. - Fair play. No referring yourself, a second account, or someone who shares your payment method, device or household. No spam or paying people to sign up. We never message your contacts. We may withhold, reverse or cancel credits for refunded, charged-back or fraudulent jobs, and suspend accounts involved. - Changes. HatchOps LLC may change or end the program at any time with notice in the app. Credits already earned stay usable for at least 30 days after the program ends. Void where prohibited.
12. Safety and prohibited conduct
- Banned tasks: chainsaws, ladders, roofs, tree work, chemicals beyond household soap and water, entering a home, and anything that could reasonably cause severe injury.
- Powered equipment: Doers may use their own powered yard tools at their own risk under the Powered Equipment Addendum.
- Doer's call. A Doer may refuse or stop any job they believe is unsafe, at any time, without penalty or rating impact.
- You may not post sexual content; harass, threaten or discriminate; post illegal jobs; or pay off-platform for a job found on Yardoer.
13. Chat stays in the app
You may not share or request off-app contact details. Messages are screened and may be blocked. Repeat attempts lead to chat blocks of 1 day, 3 days and 2 weeks, then review for a permanent ban. Appeals: Menu → Help → Appeal a decision within 30 days.
14. Ratings
Ratings must be honest and about the job. A zero-star rating needs a written explanation. Users may reply publicly.
15. Your content
You keep ownership of your photos and text and give HatchOps LLC a limited licence to host, screen, display and use them to run Yardoer and resolve disputes.
16. Disputes between users
Use the in-app dispute or force-cancel review first. Our decisions are final within the app, without limiting legal rights you cannot waive.
17. Arbitration and class-action waiver
Please read carefully. Disputes between you and HatchOps LLC are resolved by binding individual arbitration under the Federal Arbitration Act, except that either side may use small-claims court. Before filing, send written notice to [email protected] and allow 30 days to resolve it. Hearings may be by video or in Cache County, Utah. HatchOps LLC pays arbitration fees above your filing fee. YOU AND HATCHOPS LLC WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL OR TO BRING OR JOIN A CLASS ACTION. You may opt out within 30 days of first accepting these Terms by emailing [email protected].
18. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Yardoer is provided "as is." We do not guarantee or insure any job, Doer, Poster or result, and are not liable for work quality, property damage or injury from a job, except as the law requires. To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to any user for any claim is limited to the greater of the fees we earned on that job or $100. This limit does not apply to gross negligence, willful misconduct, fraud, or claims the law does not allow to be limited.
19. Termination
We may suspend or permanently ban accounts that break these Terms, with or without notice where safety requires. A banned person may not create a new account.
20. App stores
These Terms are between you and HatchOps LLC, not Apple or Google. Apple and Google have no obligation to support the app and are not responsible for claims about it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them.
21. Changes and governing law
We will tell you in the app before material changes take effect. Utah law governs these Terms, except where the Federal Arbitration Act applies.
