Yardoer Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 26, 2026

Yardoer is an app operated by HatchOps LLC, a Utah limited liability company doing business as Yardoer ("Yardoer", "we", "us"). Yardoer is a marketplace in Cache Valley, Utah that connects people who need outdoor jobs done ("Posters") with adults who do them ("Doers"). This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.

Privacy questions: [email protected]. Everything else: [email protected].

2. Adults only

Yardoer is for people 18 and older. Anyone under 18 cannot create an account, including a Doer account. Our age screen blocks sign-up for anyone who gives a birth date under 18. Yardoer is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have, we delete it promptly. Tell us at [email protected].

3. Location

4. Identity and age verification

Everyone gives a date of birth at sign-up. All Doers must verify their identity before their first payout, and we may ask other users to verify for safety or fraud prevention. Verification uses Stripe Identity (a government ID photo and a selfie). Stripe processes these images, including biometric face comparison, as our service provider and under its own policy (https://stripe.com/privacy). We receive only the result and the verified name and date of birth, never the images. We use this only for verification, safety and fraud prevention.

5. Payments

Card payments and Doer payouts are processed by Stripe (Stripe Connect). Card numbers go straight to Stripe; we never see full card numbers. Stripe collects Doers' identity and tax information to meet its legal obligations and issue tax forms. We keep earnings totals for tax reporting.

6. How we understand app use

We record a few events in our own systems, with no outside analytics companies: sign-up, first job posted, first job completed, and any source or referral code used. We do not record location in these events. Raw events are deleted after 13 months or when you delete your account; after that we keep only anonymous totals not linked to anyone.

7. Camera, microphone and device information

8. Sharing

We share data only with: the other party to a job (only what the job needs; the exact address goes only to the assigned Doer); service providers under contract (Supabase for hosting and storage, Stripe for payments and identity verification, an SMS provider for texts, Expo for push notifications and app updates, and content moderation); and law enforcement or the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children when the law requires. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for cross-app tracking or targeted advertising.

9. Referral Program

If you share a job or a brag card, we process your referral code and the sign-up and job data of people who use your link or code, to issue and apply your referral credit and to prevent fraud, including household and device checks. We remove photo location metadata and screen shared images for faces, house numbers and license plates. We never message people you refer unless they sign up and agree.

10. People a Poster books a job for

Where available, a Poster may book a job at someone else's home (a "Recipient"). We receive the Recipient's name, phone number, relationship to the Poster and address from the Poster. We use it only for job notices, letting the Recipient decline or opt out of texts, sharing on-site contact with the assigned Doer, and safety reports. We never use it for marketing or sell it. Information about elderly or vulnerable Recipients is deleted 12 months after the job, unless the law requires longer. A Recipient can ask us to delete it sooner at [email protected]. Reply STOP to any text to stop texts.

11. Content screening

Photos and text are automatically screened before they appear, for sexual content, child-safety risks and policy violations, including matching against known child sexual abuse material.

12. Data retention

Nothing is kept forever. We delete the most sensitive data soonest and keep data longer only where the law requires it.
